About the Role

Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must be able to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time. • Ask a supervisor if unsure about any aspect of the work or safety practices before continuing. • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work. • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members. • Produce high quality work safely and productively at all times. • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work. • Stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate. • Move in and around confined, cluttered, uneven areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. • Lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs occasionally.

What You Bring

• Effective Math skills – add, subtract, multiply and divide. • Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work‑related tools and equipment. • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent (preferred). • 1 year experience (level I), 2 years (level II), 3+ years in industrial/commercial construction (preferred). • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
