About the Role

• Provide technical direction for MEP engineering and building services. • Oversee design, installation, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems across projects. • Ensure integration of MEP services with structural, architectural, and civil disciplines. • Review and approve technical documentation, designs, and specifications for compliance. • Monitor MEP project performance, risk, and compliance. • Support Building Services Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. • Implement best‑practice processes for design coordination and construction methodology. • Ensure statutory, regulatory, and contractual MEP obligations are met. • Lead investigations of technical incidents and disseminate lessons learned. • Stay current with industry standards, legislation, and sustainability requirements. • Mentor and develop technical staff to build MEP capability. • Promote knowledge sharing, technical innovation, and professional development. • Contribute to succession planning and workforce development for the MEP team. • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulators to meet technical requirements. • Advise project and business leadership on technical risks, opportunities, and MEP solutions. • Deliver integrated MEP solutions on large‑scale or multi‑site projects. • Lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate extensive senior‑level MEP or building services experience on complex construction projects. • Possess strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, installation, and commissioning. • Exhibit excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. • Hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (professional qualification desirable). • Be a member of a recognised professional body such as CIBSE or IET (preferred). • Postgraduate qualification in Building Services or related discipline is advantageous. • Experience with BIM for MEP, digital engineering, or smart building technologies is a plus. • Knowledge of energy efficiency, carbon management, and sustainability frameworks is beneficial.
