About the Role

The role involves verification and validation planning, monitoring, estimating and controlling activities both in‑house and in external labs, defining test objectives, policies, strategies and plans in partnership with stakeholders, and reporting directly to the Lab Manager in Bangalore. • Lead key projects in switchboard and circuit breaker development. • Coach Project Test Leaders to build robust verification and validation test plans. • Train PTLs and test engineers on functional and performance testing. • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports. • Troubleshoot and diagnose product failures during testing. • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to align testing with product development. • Stay current with industry trends and standards for circuit breaker and switchboard testing. • Partner with marketing to deliver webinars and training sessions. • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols in the lab. • Maintain technical competency and quality standards per NABL 17025. • Mentor team members in short‑circuit breaking expertise. • Build networks with external labs such as UL, CPRI, and ERDA. • Define lab strategy and roadmap with the lab manager. • Represent Schneider Electric in technical presentations. • Track standards development and perform gap analysis. • Support implementation of lab automation projects.

What You Bring

The company seeks an engineering expert specializing in circuit breakers, switchboards, busways, and distribution boxes to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, global labs, and marketing on new technologies and innovations, offering exposure to electrical and data‑science projects and methodologies such as Agile, ISO 17025 and Six Sigma. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Extensive experience testing and inspecting circuit breakers and switchboards. • Deep knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60947, IEC 60898, IEC 61009, IEC 61008 standards. • Familiarity with National Electrical Code, earthing systems and wiring rules. • Proven testing experience in manufacturing or test environments. • Strong project management capabilities. • Knowledge of IEC, ANSI and UL industry standards. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Proficiency with testing equipment and tools. • Strong communication and report‑writing abilities. • Detail‑oriented and capable of independent or team work. • Ability to think creatively to resolve issues. • High‑level technical writing proficiency.
