About the Role

The role involves leveraging experience, leadership, and relationships to grow NJDOT/NJTA and other agency work, leading bridge teams, and forecasting project pipelines and industry trends. The manager will network and represent the firm at conferences and business‑development events, prepare and manage proposals for DOT and agency clients, and develop subconsultant networks and teaming agreements. Managing multi‑discipline bridge and infrastructure projects, collaborating across offices, providing leadership and mentoring, monitoring project costs, handling billings and collections, and coordinating resource sharing with discipline leaders are also key responsibilities. • Lead bridge teams on DOT and agency projects and expand NJDOT/NJTA business. • Forecast project pipelines and industry trends. • Network and represent the firm at conferences and business‑development events. • Prepare and manage proposals for DOT and agency clients. • Develop subconsultant networks and teaming agreements. • Manage multi‑discipline bridge and infrastructure projects. • Collaborate across offices and disciplines to deliver projects on time and under budget. • Provide leadership, mentoring, and regional guidance to achieve goals. • Monitor project costs, ensure budget compliance, and oversee billings and collections. • Coordinate resource sharing and staffing with geographic discipline leaders.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, 12+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience with at least 8 years in bridge engineering, and prior NJDOT/NJTA experience. A New Jersey PE license (or reciprocity) is required, along with proven business development, proposal writing, and delivery of DOT/agency bridge projects. Candidates must be knowledgeable about AASHTO/NJDOT design manuals, LFRD, seismic analysis, the NJDOT capital project delivery process, and possess strong teamwork, communication, and English language skills. • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering. • 12+ years of progressive leadership/managerial experience, including 8+ years in bridge engineering. • Prior NJDOT/NJTA experience and New Jersey PE license (or reciprocity). • Proven business development, proposal writing, and delivery of DOT/agency bridge projects. • Knowledge of AASHTO/NJDOT design manuals, LFRD, seismic analysis, and NJDOT capital project delivery process. • Strong teamwork, communication, and English language proficiency.

Compensation ranges from $154,600 to $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications. This range is competitive for senior bridge engineering leadership roles.
