About the Role
Interns will perform a variety of administrative and analytical tasks such as preparing reports, tracking results, coordinating program developments, handling routine inquiries, and making appointments. They will participate in meetings, interface with multiple teams, and assist management in data analysis. Additional duties include supporting special projects, conducting research, and completing other assignments as needed. • Assist with monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents. • Support vulnerability scanning, validation, and remediation tracking. • Document and maintain security procedures, standards, and control evidence. • Participate in risk assessments, security reviews, and control testing. • Aid identity and access management tasks such as access reviews and provisioning. • Contribute to security awareness training and content development. • Help administer security tools and generate dashboards, metrics, and status reports. • Collaborate with IT and business teams on secure technology implementations.

The Information Security Intern role sits within Corporate IT and works alongside experienced security professionals to protect systems and data. The internship provides hands‑on exposure to security operations, risk management, governance, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and security awareness. To be considered, candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent) and be enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program. Preferred qualifications include strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a basic understanding of network, endpoint, cloud, or data‑protection security concepts, and familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or CIS. Exposure to operating systems, networking, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and basic scripting (Python, PowerShell) are advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also required. • Required: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to information security. • Preferred: Strong analytical skills, basic cybersecurity knowledge, familiarity with frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS), exposure to OS/network/cloud platforms, basic scripting ability, and strong communication skills.
