About the Role
In this role, the engineer will represent the firm with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants while designing large‑scale mechanical systems. Responsibilities include conducting field inspections, preparing reports and specifications, performing equipment selection and load calculations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing QA/QC processes. Additional duties involve construction administration, managing CAD/BIM staff, processing RFIs and change orders, and drafting engineering proposals and cost estimates. • Represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants. • Design mechanical systems for large projects, including equipment selection and load/energy calculations. • Conduct field inspections, produce detailed reports, and oversee construction administration tasks. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain drawing standards using AutoCAD and Revit. • Lead QA/QC processes and manage CAD/BIM technical staff on project assignments. • Prepare engineering proposals, cost estimates, and documentation for RFIs and change orders.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 1.5 to 8 years of consulting experience. An EIT certification is required, with PE preferred, and LEED AP accreditation is highly desired. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, strong coordination skills across architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom systems, and knowledge of constructability and cost are essential. • Hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering; 1.5–8 years consulting experience; EIT required, PE preferred. • Preferred LEED AP accreditation and strong ability to coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom disciplines.
