About the Role

The Project Manager will lead small to large‑scale transportation projects from concept to completion, drive proposal writing and marketing efforts, and oversee roadway design for rural roads, urban arterials, and interstate highways. They will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants to produce high‑quality PS&E packages, cultivate client relationships, and represent NV5 in professional societies. • Lead transportation projects from concept through completion, including rural roads, urban arterials, and interstates. • Write proposals, market services, and engage clients to secure new work. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants to deliver high-quality PS&E packages. • Maintain strong client relationships and represent NV5 in professional organizations. • Mentor junior engineers and CADD technicians in plan production. • Manage project budgets, schedules, and ensure adherence to design and construction standards.

What You Bring

NV5 is seeking a seasoned Roadway Project Manager for its Transportation Design team in Alpharetta, GA. The role involves leading impactful transportation projects, mentoring staff, and delivering smart, sustainable roadway solutions in a collaborative environment. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have at least ten years of engineering experience in transportation or site civil design, including five years managing projects and staff. Experience should include roadway, interstate, traffic, stormwater, irrigation, and utility relocations, with proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Designer, and Autodesk Civil3D, as well as strong communication and budgeting skills. A Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, or the candidate must obtain it within six months; PMP certification and GSWCC Level II Design Professional certification are desirable. • Minimum 10+ years civil engineering experience in transportation/site civil design, with 5+ years managing projects and staff. • Proficient in MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Civil3D, and Microsoft Office. • Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or obtainable within 6 months); PMP and GSWCC Level II preferred.
