About the Role
The Material Handler (Storeroom) position supports the manufacturing operation by overseeing the movement of materials, components, tools, and supplies. In this role you will coordinate receipt and issuance of items, manage associated documentation, and collaborate with planners and buyers to ensure material availability. Key duties involve preparing products for shipment, operating material handling equipment, and delivering supplies to appropriate work locations while maintaining quality standards through inspections and troubleshooting. You will also engage in continuous improvement activities and uphold 5S housekeeping practices. The role requires cross‑training to provide coverage for other functions and the use of inventory tracking systems to keep stock accurate. Safety compliance, proper use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to company policies are essential. • Receive, issue, and document raw materials, assemblies, tools, and supplies. • Assist planners and buyers with material availability processes. • Box, pack, and ship finished products and raw materials. • Operate forklifts, material handling equipment, and hand tools to load/unload trucks and deliver items. • Conduct visual inspections, identify non‑conforming parts, and troubleshoot quality issues. • Perform root‑cause analysis and suggest process improvements. • Maintain inventory using supply‑chain tracking systems and execute 5S duties. • Cross‑train and provide coverage for other job functions as needed.

What You Bring
Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, basic manufacturing experience, and the ability to operate a forklift and hand tools. Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork abilities are required, along with a willingness to work flexible hours and meet the physical demands of standing, lifting, and moving materials. • Meet physical requirements: stand, walk, lift ≥ 50 lb, push/pull heavy loads, and possess required vision and hearing abilities. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and SCMC (or equivalent); minimum 3 months manufacturing and forklift experience. • Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication, analytical problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime; located within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (military exempt).
