based electricity generator, natural gas wholesaler, and retailer of electricity, natural gas, broadband and LPG.
The company was formed in 1996 when it acquired electricity generation and gas assets from state
owned electricity generator ECNZ.
Contact Energy is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) under the ticker CEN.
For the fiscal year 2024, Contact Energy reported a net profit of NZ$235 million and total revenue of NZ$2.86 billion.
