The Lead Millwright Specialist role emphasizes safety, problem‑solving, and operational excellence. The specialist will lead daily operations and maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability while driving continuous improvement across the plant.
- Perform and supervise routine and breakdown inspection, repair, troubleshooting, modification, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as compressors, cryogenic pumps, gear drives, steam turbines, vessels, heat exchangers, and expanders.
- Develop work scopes for equipment repair and overhaul and prepare technical reports.
- Enter accurate equipment information into the CMMS system (SAP).
- Provide technical leadership to continuously improve machinery condition and reliability.
- Deliver on‑site and remote training and guidance to plant operating and maintenance personnel.
- Create and implement worn component refurbishment procedures based on Machinery Engineering recommendations.
- Respond to work requirements on a 24‑hour, 7‑day basis and work extended hours as needed.

- Minimum 5 years’ direct experience with industrial rotating machinery maintenance, start‑up, and commissioning.
- Practical knowledge of machinery overhauls and refurbishment techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or lead a crew.
- Supervisory experience and demonstrated safe work practices.
- Fundamental computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to travel on short notice with 70‑75% travel away from home.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including lifting, climbing, heights, and confined spaces.
- Reside within one hour of a major airport to meet travel demands.
