Installers will safely operate forklifts, man‑baskets, and all‑terrain scissor lifts, using the proper hand tools for each job site. Duties also involve cleaning the worksite, building and maintaining fabric and hard‑side walls, doors, and frameworks, and following safety instructions for loading, installation, and removal. Coordination with the Field Supervisor ensures proper layout and compliance with CAD diagrams and contractual specifications.
Inspecting tents and accessories for damage, completing necessary paperwork, and explaining proper usage and safety features are essential tasks. Installers must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and government safety regulations in both written and verbal forms. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support project success.
The Field Installer position requires extensive travel within the United States, typically 2 to 3 weeks on‑site followed by 1 week off at home. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check. This entry‑level role reports to a Field Supervisor and focuses on the timely installation of tents and related equipment.
Field Installers must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and performing demanding work that requires strength and stamina. Responsibilities include installing, taking down, and repairing fabric structures, as well as loading and unloading equipment supply trucks. The role demands adherence to safety standards while handling large, temporary structures.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent GED, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate basic math proficiency. The role requires traveling up to 80% of the time and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass required background and drug screenings are mandatory.
Sunbelt provides on‑the‑job certifications including Tenting 101 (Basics of Temporary Structures), OSHA General Construction Site Safety, a TWIC credential, and OSHA Operators Training for forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts. These certifications equip installers with the knowledge to safely operate equipment and comply with industry standards.
Base pay ranges from $18.99 to $27.30 per hour, varying by location, education, training, and experience.
