As a Painter I at Ditch Witch, you will join a rotating team that shot‑blasts and paints equipment and parts. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to written and computer instructions, and the safe handling of paint line equipment.
- Set up and adjust equipment with hand tools
- Operate spray‑painting equipment to finish parts
- Maintain, clean, and monitor paint line for quality
- Hang equipment and parts on overhead chain conveyor
- Perform finish quality checks and touch‑up sanding
- Use SAP to track inventory locations and transactions
- Handle items up to 60 lb from floor to knuckle
- Pull or push items up to 50 lb regularly
- Lift items up to 50 lb from knuckle to shoulder
- Lift items up to 25 lb from shoulder to overhead

The work takes place in an indoor manufacturing plant with variable temperature, humidity, noise, and dust. Employees must wear a paint suit and supplied‑air respirator, and they will encounter physical hazards such as moving machinery, sharp objects, and hazardous materials like solvents and paint sludge.
- Read computer terminals and written instructions
- Cross‑train on shot blasting and special paint processes
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in automotive, industrial, aircraft spray painting or auto body work (preferred)
- Ability to apply quality finish using spray equipment
- Basic mechanical skills with wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Proficient with computers and following written instructions
- Frequent walking, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling
- Occasional sitting, elevated work, climbing, continuous standing
Benefits
The position works the day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with overtime as needed.
