Assist with maintaining records of repairs, equipment and parts inventory, preventative maintenance, and fuel/lubricate usage.

Maintain inventory and anticipate parts needed to maximize equipment operation and reduce downtime; assist Supervisor or Equipment Manager in considering parts needed.
Assist Supervisor or Equipment Manager to insure departmental compliance with OSHA regulations.
Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to create capital equipment budgets and execute daily, monthly, and annual budgets.
Be aware of safety requirements and report unsafe conditions or accidents to supervisor.
Communicate with the Lead Mechanic, Equipment Manager, or the Assistant Superintendent on daily/weekly work assignments to insure all equipment is available when needed.
Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
Must be able to lead by example by taking a proactive position to all issues concerning maintenance and the maintenance staff.
Help train staff members on safe and proper equipment operation; coach team members to be diligent with equipment care and operation; instill the importance of reporting all unsafe conditions.
Assist with the implementation of a thorough preventative maintenance program for all equipment; identify and correct performance problems; complete repairs/adjustments.
Assist the Equipment Manager in reviewing operational challenges; recommend solutions.
Attend educational seminars to stay current with the leading technology and troubleshooting skills needed, as requested.
Employees are required to wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment; ensure all equipment is being properly cleaned.

Two to three years' experience as an Operator 3, or related experience.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Understand the game of golf and the role of equipment maintenance in safety, quality, and aesthetics.
Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
Valid driver's license required.
Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, repairs needed, and maintenance required through references and work history.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills in dealing with team members and the public.
This position may be very active and may require standing and walking for the duration of a shift, sitting and driving, lifting, pushing, digging, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, using hands to fingers, touching and holding, and reaching with hands and arms; regularly required to speak and hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret schematics, reports, plans, labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), technical manuals, and regulatory documents.
Must demonstrate initiative-ability to think, work, solve problems, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.
Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and meeting timeliness is a must.
