Description

The Local Affairs Manager is responsible for fostering meaningful relationships with Local communities and ensuring respectful, compliant engagement across all company operations. This role supports consultation processes, community development initiatives, and internal guidance on cultural and regulatory matters, contributing to sustainable and inclusive business practices.

• Advise internal teams on Local affairs, cultural sensitivities, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Local affairs.
• Provide training and resources to enhance cultural awareness and respectful engagement.
• Partner with Local communities on initiatives related to economic development, employment, and cultural preservation.
• Ensure company activities reflect cultural respect and regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Local communities and leadership.
• Support programs that promote long-term community well-being.
• Facilitate consultation processes in alignment with Local engagement protocols and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Local relations, community engagement, or a related field.
• Ability to travel and work closely with remote communities as needed.
• Deep understanding of Local cultures, governance structures, and engagement protocols.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and stakeholder consultation.
