Traveling Mechanical Construction Superintendent

🧾 Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and project managers to ensure seamless workflow.

🧮 Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and conduct inspections to ensure systems meet design intent and quality standards.

📦 Materials & Logistics: Manage procurement, delivery, and inventory of mechanical materials and equipment.

🧯 Safety Compliance: Enforce company and OSHA safety policies, conduct regular site inspections, and lead safety meetings.

🧾 Reporting: Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation for project tracking and closeout.

🛠️ Team Leadership: Direct and manage field crews and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

🧰 Technical Execution: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate installation and system integration.

📋 Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all on-site mechanical activities, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

💬 Communication: Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the project team, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

✅ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

✅ Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings.

🧾 Familiarity with BIM coordination and lean construction practices.

✅ Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75–100%) to project sites nationwide.

🏗️ Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects (e.g., hospitals, data centers, manufacturing facilities).

🛠️ Journeyman or Master Plumbing or HVAC license is a plus.

✅ Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

✅ Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

✅ OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications a plus.
