This full‑time traveling assignment supports an Advanced Technology project spanning data centers, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing, and EV/battery/renewables market segments, reporting directly to the Project Manager or Project Executive.
The role focuses on mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low‑voltage, fire sprinkler), requiring development of relationships with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owners to align with client goals from initiation through completion, thorough knowledge of contract documents and codes, and leadership of Turner MEP staff including performance appraisals and daily supervision of Engineer‑MEP and Superintendent‑MEP teams.
Responsibilities include managing MEP procurement, budgets, quality, safety, engineering coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close‑out processes.
The position is within the Critical Facilities-Data Centers division, located in Houston, TX 77001, and is classified as an experienced, salaried exempt role in the construction job family.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least ten years of progressive experience with MEP design, cost, logistics, and field installations, be able to identify cost‑premium design features and recommend alternatives, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software; LEED accreditation and experience with leading‑edge technologies are preferred.
The position entails occasional physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders, using construction hoists, and lifting up to 50 lb, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, and moderate noise levels; reasonable accommodations are provided as needed.
