We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Professional to support a fair, compliant, and high-performance work environment across large-scale oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, and industrial project sites. The ER Professional will manage complex workplace investigations, resolve escalated employee issues, and provide expert ER guidance to leaders and project teams. This role may support multiple projects and regions depending on business needs.
Labor and Employee Relations (ER) Professional - Senior HR Consulting Professional
This position is part-time telework, requiring at least three in-office or on-site days per week at the assigned project or operations location.
- Proven experience conducting legally defensible workplace investigations.
- Experience supporting ER in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, heavy industrial, or large capital construction environments is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic ER or case management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of ER experience, or 12–14 years of equivalent professional experience.
- High level of empathy balanced with ability to deliver direct and candid feedback.
- Ability to work across diverse geographic regions and multicultural workforces.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret ER trends and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to navigate sensitive and high-pressure situations with discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and ER best practices, especially within industrial project settings.
- Ability to work effectively with craft labor, supervisors, field managers, contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Experience presenting investigation findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
