Ensure all designs adhere to NEC, energy codes, and client-specific guidelines.
Support equipment selection, panel schedules, and system coordination.
Review and process equipment and system submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct power system analysis, including short circuit, voltage drop, and arc flash studies.
Conduct site visits to evaluate existing electrical conditions and support field installations.
Develop and refine electrical system layouts, schematics, and specifications.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes.
Attend meetings with clients, architects, and contractors to resolve design issues and refine project scope.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
Perform load calculations, lighting level analysis, and energy efficiency assessments.
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering analysis software for system design and documentation.
Prepare and modify drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity in design documentation.
Provide engineering support during construction to ensure successful project execution.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution and lighting systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with NEC and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
May require occasional travel to project locations or meetings.

This position is based in our Santa Clara office and is not eligible for remote work.
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with encouragement to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Office work includes sitting, typing, and using a computer for extended periods.
LEED AP® certification is appreciated.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Experience with commercial, high-rise residential, or data center projects is appreciated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design or engineering within the construction industry.
Ability to analyze and interpret electrical specifications and technical documents.
