Ownership for all aspects of engineering samples (mold installation, processing, inspection).
Train associates in work methods, procedures, quality standards, Lean, and safety.
Work with the manufacturing engineering team for new mold startups and process development.
Utilize all available machine functionality to control process, identify issues, and eliminate overruns.
Participate as member of a Project Team and/or cross-functional Team as required.
Support manufacturing engineering projects as assigned.
Record and report all production data/metrics, including output, scrap, and moisture/temperature.
Troubleshoot processing issues on mold machines as they arise to minimize product impact.
Lead Kaizens implementing lean tool including 5S, Poke Yoke, Visual Management, TPM, Quick Change, Single Piece Flow and Kanban.
Owns the 8D process for all quality related events. Drive to root cause, propose and assist with implementation of preventative resolutions.
Responsible to start, update and maintain all mold books for all molds.
Develop and maintain molding process run-sheets.
Standardize machine setups and working methods.

Lean manufacturing experience is required.
Need initiative and hands-on experience to resolve problems, able to work as member of a team, and knowledge of computer systems required. Experience on Nissei machines is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (AND) one or more years of relevant experience (including molding machine set-up and operation, injection molding processing); (OR) an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth understanding of molding processes, including how adjustments to different process parameters can affect the final product.
Project Management experience preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Moldflow analysis is strongly preferred.
Proficient at Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
