In this role, you will leverage the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies using innovative project management methods, including model data extraction for quantity takeoffs and estimating purposes, constructability reviews, assist with design coordination using automated clash detection methods, and construction sequencing animations for pre-construction planning.
- Extracting quantity data from Revit building information models (BIM) for estimating teams, while cross-referencing contract drawings and specifications for model accuracy
- Providing model-based layout coordinates to field surveying teams onsite for the layout of self-perform concrete, steel, utilities, and other systems
- Creating 4D/5D construction sequence animations using Navisworks, Synchro, and Lumion software for proposals and construction teams
- Developing and maintaining integrated project coordination models using Navisworks software, and create clash detection reports based on analysis of multiple design disciplines and trade subcontractor 3D models
- Supporting innovation through research and testing of new technologies
- Converting 2D drawing information to 3D Revit models for design and construction details, including the creation of custom parametric Revit families
- Processing, registering, and publishing laser scan point cloud data for coordination
- Participating in virtual collaboration meetings with the project team, while leveraging the coordination model as a decision-making tool to solve complex coordination issues
