Validate routes, bypass logic, underground requirements, easement/access constraints, cross-country leads, and ROW compliance using GIS, Google Earth, client systems, and utility records.
Support CR preparation, revisions, markups, documentation, and resubmittal sequencing.
Provide timely, professional communication and polished summaries, recaps, and risk updates for Engineering, Construction, Utilities, Partners and Utility reviewers.
Maintain internal trackers with exceptional accuracy; reconcile data across SiteTracker and client systems.
Coordinate internal and external meetings, including utility calls, redline sessions, reroute discussions, kickoff meetings, and CR alignment reviews.
Ensure compliance with NESC standards, utility requirements, joint-use regulations, and OSP construction practices.
Support invoice and make-ready reconciliation by verifying pole counts, MR logic, bypass details, and cost alignment.
Coordinate with Pole Owners on denied poles, riser requirements, overloaded poles, copper downsizing impacts, and make-ready sequencing.
May lift or carry small parcels, packages, and other items.
Monitor engineering updates required due to denied poles, conflicts, PLA issues, ownership corrections, or design constraints, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Fielding, Construction, GIS, Utilities, and Municipal agencies.
Ensure all stakeholders have the most current files, approvals, documentation, and status updates
Track project milestones, pole counts, route changes, and risk indicators; proactively flag schedule impacts or redesign needs.
Review workprints, pole lists, aerial/underground OSP designs, and ownership discrepancies to ensure accurate identification of power vs. communication poles and clean routing.
Prepare, submit, track, and update permit applications with Pole Owners.
Proficiency in CAD applications such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Exceptional accuracy, organizational discipline, and data-tracking precision.
Ability to identify telecom conflicts and present practical, cost-effective solutions.
1-3 years of hands-on OSP engineering or OSP coordination experience.
Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings, utility maps, and highway/civil plans.
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the fiber-optic/telecom construction industry.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, with strong math, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise strongly preferred).
Self-motivated, tech-savvy, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and follow through on deadlines.
Familiarity with GIS tools, ESRI platforms, shapefile functions, and utility mapping workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence with utilities and municipalities.
Requires viewing a computer screen for long periods of time.
Experience with telecom systems and tools including Infinium, Varasset, M6 (MetaSolv), Control Desk, FROGS, DPI, IQGeo, FTTP fiber records, Katapult, Ike, and SiteTracker.
Working knowledge of NESC standards, OSP construction practices, and joint-use regulations.
Understanding of telecom easements, ROW acquisition, permitting processes, and municipal/state requirements (including TXDOT/railroad where applicable).
Strong working knowledge of OSP aerial infrastructure, pole attachments, and basic make-ready concepts.
