You’ll be part of the team that keeps automation projects moving, supporting data‑center startups, conducting on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. Collaboration with automation and controls engineers is central to testing, troubleshooting, and validating systems on‑site, while clear communication keeps customers and project teams informed. Typical travel rotations follow a days‑on/days‑off schedule such as 5‑on/2‑off, 10‑on/4‑off, or 14‑on/7‑off, bringing new challenges and locations each project.
We’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline now for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. The role is designed for people who can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems. Success requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, as our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work.
We’re looking for candidates who genuinely love travel and can be away from home on rotation, have working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, and thrive when plans change. Strong communication, problem‑solving abilities, adaptability, and grit are essential, as is living within 50 mi of a major airport, possessing a personal vehicle within 45 days of hire, and being authorized to work in the U.S. A technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience of at least three years in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering is required.
The role’s essential physical functions include walking long distances across large facilities, climbing ladders or working at heights, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing, kneeling, or reaching for extended periods in varied environments such as construction sites or outdoor conditions. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. We invest in growth through paid training, annual merit raises, and a guaranteed 5 % salary increase after six months, along with health, dental, life insurance, a 401(k) match, disability options, paid vacation and flexible time off after 18 months.
