Construction Controller

Description

• Oversight of accounts receivable and monthly billings.
• Manage fixed asset schedule.
• Prepare and manage cash flow.
• Manage general ledger accounting functions.
• Prepare and manage the Work in Progress schedule (WIP)
• Prepare and review job cost reports.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise accounting team.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Oversight of credit card program and reconciliation.
• Work with project managers and senior management.
• Assist with sales and use tax filings.
• Work with external auditors, consultants, and firms.
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, cost accounting.
• Monthly bank reconciliation.
• Manage ERP sync with Procore
• Oversee and manage bi-weekly payroll processing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally with experience in month-end close, AP, AR, and Payroll
• Construction industry experience required (General Contractor - preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Previous supervisory experience
• Strong Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
• Knowledge of Sage Intact, Procore, Miter, Bill.com a plus.
