Position SummaryUniversity Partners is hiring a Facilities Specialist (FS) role to proactively address maintenance staffing challenges across our portfolio.This full-time, flexible role will support communities experiencing maintenance gaps, high work order volume, or staffing transitions. The FS will travel to assigned properties, providing hands-on maintenance support and ensuring consistent operational standards.
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of new maintenance team members
Provide updates on outstanding work orders and overall maintenance conditions
Provide turn-season assistance to ensure units are ready on time and meet UP quality standards
Support Community Managers and Maintenance Supervisors in maintaining property standards and service goals
Owns standard maintenance tools required for daily tasks
Reorganize maintenance shops, inventory, and supplies at transitioning properties
Support property takeovers and high-demand periods to stabilize maintenance operations
Turn Support: Assist during peak turn season to meet deadlines and maintain standards
Respond to and complete daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
Willing to reside on-site during assignments
Computer literate and comfortable using work order and property management systems
Fluent in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Available to travel and temporarily relocate as needed with minimal notice
