Workshop Foreperson

Description

• Carry out complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on a range of Cummins engine products.
• Review repair plans, parts lists, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a role model for customer service excellence and technical leadership.
• Coach and mentor technicians and apprentices, sharing your expertise and supporting their development.
• Work with the office team to manage workload, productivity and customer expectations, and complete detailed engine failure reports to support with accurate quoting of repairs.
• Lead daily workshop operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met.
• Uphold Health, Safety & Environmental standards and encourage safe working practices across the team.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and ensure tools are in proper working order.
• Apply documented procedures and service tools to deliver high-quality repairs and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
• Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred).
• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
