The Quality Inspector will verify correct wiring, components, program controllers, and conduct electrical testing of switchboard products and components, as required, per applicable test procedure and/or component literature with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.
- Inspect Hi‑Pot switchboard product on all lines per work instructions and governmental requirements; confirm proper function, identify non‑conformances, ensure compliance with specifications, safety, and quality; document inspections on checklist.
- Use Hi‑Pot, continuity, and component‑specific testing devices to perform electrical testing; verify switches, circuit breakers, and torqued connections with torque wrench; conduct electrical and mechanical tests per safety and training procedures.
- Examine and verify mating structures in line‑up to ensure job completeness and problem‑free field installation, such as splice plate dimensions and kirk key coordination.
- Verify that production revisions are incorporated into products, documentation reflects current revision, and previous revisions are discarded; update paperwork accurately (POM, test reports, etc.).
- Document and communicate non‑conformances, verify required rework, communicate design errors to front‑end personnel, obtain revisions, and verify rework.
- Serve as informal trainer for production associates, communicate effectively, build positive relationships, and assist with complex or poorly defined product requirements.
- Troubleshoot, update, and develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inaccurate.

- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.
- Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Inspector position in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in switchboard assembly.
- Computer literate.
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
- Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.

The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. The rate for this position is $19.76 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.
