Lead Integrated Automation Designer

Providing innovative engineering solutions for buildings, infrastructure, and energy projects.
Lead designer for integrated building automation systems, overseeing design to commissioning.
Discovery & Strategy – Engage owners and stakeholders to translate operational goals into functional requirements, data strategies, and performance metrics.
Coordination & Documentation – Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate control sequences, points lists, and interface standards into construction documents.
System Architecture – Lay out the software, network and data architecture that unifies BAS, power, lighting, security, AV, and other OT systems; ensuring secure and structured data is at the forefront of our designs.
Quality & Commissioning Support – Oversee submittal reviews, commissioning testing and training to verify the integrated system delivers the intended outcomes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus.
Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.
High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes. Comfortability with training others on systems and processes.
Knowledge of earned value, contracts and construction processes and methods required.
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and adjust to coaching.
Must be a self-starter, proactive and willing to teach, manage and/or help others as needed.
Adapts to changing work environments, priorities and organizational needs.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (ie: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 11 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of experience without degree required.
Professional Engineering (PE)license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation highly preferred.
Team oriented and willingness and ability to function in a highly collaborative environment, in group projects and leading less experienced designers. Ability to also work independently as needed.
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with designers at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards relating to a broad range of practices, projects and/or program types required.
