The position provides technical direction and assistance to a team of engineers and technicians on a complex plant project, may lead less experienced staff, and is responsible for coordinating and reviewing the group's progress.
The role serves as a staff specialist or supervising Process Engineer for a major project, requiring deep expertise in Process and Design Engineering and the ability to independently resolve significant design challenges.
A minimum of a four‑year degree in Chemical Engineering is required, along with at least ten years of Process/Design Engineering experience, professional engineer licensure, and proficiency with relevant engineering software tools.
The role demands strong communication skills for reading technical documents, writing reports, and presenting information, as well as solid mathematical abilities in probability, statistics, geometry, and ratio calculations.
Physical requirements include occasional field trips to operating plants or construction sites, the ability to stand, walk, climb, lift up to 25 pounds, and normal vision and hearing, while the work environment is primarily an office setting with periodic exposure to site conditions.
