Description

• Coordinate project requirements with supervisory staff, engineers, and project managers.
• Influence over field operations, equipment standards, and crew training
• Ensure all field work complies with company standards, client expectations, and safety protocols.
• Independently execute complex surveys and manage multiple active job sites.
• Operate and oversee the use of Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GPS Data Collectors, and related surveying equipment.
• Download, compile, and verify field data, sketches, and plans for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage survey equipment maintenance, field vehicles, and project logistics.
• Perform field calculations, sketching, and quality control reviews of collected data.
• Train and mentor junior crew members on procedures, safety, and best practices.

Requirements

• Autonomy to lead multiple crews and oversee complex, high-profile survey projects
• 8+ years of field surveying experience using robotic total stations and GPS data collectors (Trimble preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and train field crews effectively.
• Strong understanding of land development surveying methods, data management, and construction layout.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided per IRS regulations).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on quality and safety.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varied conditions.
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in surveying, engineering, or math is a plus.
