Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure compliance.
Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications for upcoming projects and minor works.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and proposals for new installations, upgrades, minor works, and maintenance projects.
Ensure all estimating activities align with workplace health & safety policies and quality assurance processes.
Attend site inspections and assess conditions for accurate scoping.
Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and historical projects for benchmarking.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to refine scope and value-engineer solutions.
Interpret fire protection electrical requirements in line with Australian Standards and customer specifications, and relevant building codes.
Support bid submissions, tender presentations, and customer negotiations.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and tender documents.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (eg. AS 1670), and Queensland Building and Fire Safety Regulations.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent detail orientation, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills.
Proven experience in electrical estimating for fire protection systems (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
