Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

Description

• Participating in local professional organizations.
• Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.
• Assisting clients with permitting
• Preparing Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications, and Estimates
• Preparing master planning reports and hydraulic modeling
• Assist in the delivery of water and/or wastewater projects, including evaluation and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants, supply wells, water reuse systems, distribution systems, conveyance, storage, and pipeline projects.
• Work with local and state regulatory agencies for project permitting, funding, etc.
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Project Management, point of contact with clients, managing project delivery, budget, and schedule.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings, with occasional overnight stays required
• Developing long-term relationships with clients

Requirements

• Successfully interfacing with multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil site design, structural, surveying, and geotechnical engineering
• 15+ years of progressive relative water/wastewater infrastructure design experience. Experience on hydraulic modeling software for water distribution and wastewater collection systems is preferred (Innovyze products)
• California PE preferred or ability to obtain a California PE license within a year
• Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering, an M.S. Degree in a related field is preferred
• LEED and/or QSD/QSP is preferred
• Local municipality, water district experience within CA is strongly preferred. Experience working in with other municipalities and public agencies in Southern California is a plus.
