As an Electronic Technician Trainee, you will be trained to install, test, certify, and maintain PacifiCorp communications systems including but not limited to the following voice and data communication systems; telephone systems, analog and digital microwave radio systems, land mobile radio systems, SCADA and MAS systems, power line carrier equipment, telemetry, tone relay, fiber optics nodes and cable, and associated switching and termination equipment. Configure and troubleshoot equipment and create detailed work and maintenance reports. Typically will be assigned to work with other company personnel on work assignments. Responsible for vehicles, tools and materials supplied by the Company for use in the role.

- FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) with elements 1 & 3.
- Must be able to perform off-road travel in extreme weather conditions.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Two-year College or technical degree in electrical, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience (military experience, etc.)
- Winter survival and snow cat training.
- Must be qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
- Must pass PacifiCorp's' Electronic Technician Trainee pool exam.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet browsers and Excel).
- Previous experience as an electronic or communications technician in a utility environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license with evidence of a safe driving record.

Location listed for this position is for TRAINING ONLY. You may be assigned to a new location upon completion of the trainee program. You will be required to bid to a regular, permanent position and location after successful completion of the training course.
Compensation details: 55.51-55.51 Hourly Wage
