The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a related field) with coursework in hydrology and technical writing, and may have additional training in hydraulics, water quality, GIS, CAD, or surveying. A valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and preferably Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification are required; up to four years of relevant experience can substitute for educational requirements.
- Flow mitigation/detention modeling
- Hydrologic analysis such as Rational Method calculations
- Hydraulic calculations and/or modeling, such as HEC-RAS
- Data analysis using Excel or other software
- Computer‑aided drafting and design (CADD) software (e.g., Autodesk or MicroStation)
- Spatial analysis (GIS), statistical data analysis, and database management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on project success
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field) with coursework in hydrology and technical writing; additional coursework in hydraulics, water quality, GIS, CAD, or surveying is a plus; up to four years relevant experience can satisfy education requirement
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel
- Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) certification (preferred)
