Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
Assist in the delivery of Toolbox Talks on various health, safety, and wellbeing topics
Participate in construction risk workshops
Act as a key point of contact for safety-related queries and provide guidance to staff.
Coordinate training programs for employees and contractors.
Assist in the compilation of data/evidence to facilitate timely monthly reporting
Assist in the development of Daily Pre-Starts (including delivery of key safety messaging)
Identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks
Promote awareness of safety practices, policies, and procedures.
Support processes for the maintenance of first and emergency facilities at the site
Assist in the coordination and review of Safe Work Method Statements
Assist senior safety resources in investigating incidents, including compilation and submission of appropriate reports
Support in facilitating emergency response drills
Requirements

Ability to effectively prioritise and manage assigned workload
Good personal time management skills
Proficient with technology and digital systems
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility in rostering to accommodate project needs (the role may include instances or weekend or night works).
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (desirable), Cert IV in OHS as a minimum
Experience within a Tier 1 or 2 company and the management of subcontractors (desirable)
Experience in the civil or civil construction space is desirable, but not essential, candidates from other high-risk industries will be considered
