The Equipment Services Manager will manage, plan, and direct day‑to‑day operations of the Equipment Services Team—both internal staff and third‑party service providers—across the nation in a 24/7 fast‑paced environment. The role ensures prompt, efficient service, customer, subcontractor and internal team satisfaction, and cost‑effective operations, including timely service to field locations, parts inventory management, and real‑time reporting to resolve issues collaboratively.
The manager oversees equipment services department functions, monitors technician workloads and service performance, creates dispatch territories and schedules, and ensures financial billing and invoicing deadlines are met. They also manage third‑party provider relationships, monitor performance trends, and ensure health‑and‑safety compliance. Additionally, they lead team performance management, recruitment, and termination, conduct performance reviews, and develop employee growth.
Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on KPIs, creating action plans, developing dashboards and reports to inform decision‑making, and participating in costing for RFPs, tenders, and customer quotes. The manager contributes to departmental budgets, forecasts, plans, and the development of third‑party contracts and agreements.
The role requires availability to address internal and partner (sub‑contractor) concerns promptly, the ability to handle high stress and solve problems quickly, and bilingual English/French skills are an asset.
