The role includes supervising in-shop processes (rewinding, machining, teardowns, rebuilds) and launching a field services division focused on laser alignment, vibration analysis, and preventive maintenance. The manager ensures high-quality repairs, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and industry standards.

  • Monitor repair quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

  • Coordinate on-site repairs, installations, and maintenance to minimize customer downtime.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, winders, and machinists, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
  • Train technicians in field service techniques, such as troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
  • Supervise and guide technicians in diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling AC and DC motors (0.5hp–5000hp).
  • Conduct and review testing (e.g., surge testing, core loss testing, Baker testing) to verify motor functionality and compliance with OEM standards.
  • Coordinate training programs for staff to stay updated on modern technologies (e.g., computerized winding machines, laser alignment tools).
  • Oversee rewinding processes, ensuring proper coil design, insulation (e.g., Class N, VFD-rated wire), and varnish application per EASA standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and certifications like EASA or CSA for hazardous locations.
  • Maintain records of repairs and service reports to aid customers in future maintenance planning.
  • Manage machining tasks, including shaft repair, bearing replacement, and dynamic balancing to minimize vibration and ensure motor efficiency.
  • Interface with clients to provide quotes, explain repair processes, and ensure transparency.
