This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
Experience with construction or maintenance of substations or utility infrastructure.
One or more years of experience performing construction related work utilizing standard materials, methods, tools, and equipment.
Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
Experience with civil construction, such as grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
Posses a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew and follow detailed instructions.
Ability to perform strenuous manual labor.
Position will require up to 100% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: EEI TECH (Test #5108) and Structural Mechanical Physical Performance Test (Test #4024). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
Experience with concrete installation, including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing.
The primary work location for this position is Alhambra. However, the successful candidate will travel an extended amount of time out in the SCE service territory.
Experience using hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
Experience with rough carpentry, framing and general construction support tasks.
