Maintain full audit ability for all materials control transactions from receipt to hand over to owner, including disposal of surplus and scrap
Maintain up to date material matching schedules for fabrication and erection materials based on construction priorities
Maintains a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department
Ensure the provision of Right Material at Right Location at Right Time to support the construction schedule fabrication and erection / installation requirements. Interface with home office Project Materials Control to progress actions required to expedite the flow of materials to site and other project warehouses
Establish, maintain and operate a Materials Control System complying with Company Material Control Procedures and Site Materials Control Work Practices, in conjunction with project specific procurement execution plan and project specific material control procedures
A Materials Control System shall comprise everything required to control materials at the specified locations, including infrastructure, offices, warehouses, racking, lay - down yards, plant, equipment, manpower, computer facilities, and logistics
Maintain materials traceability back to material certification from materials receipt up to issue to contractor. Maintain master files of material certification and hand - over to owner at project completion
The safe receipt and offloading, receipt inspection, handling, storage, preservation, inventory control, planned and demand allocation, issue, return, surplus listing and reconciliation of all project free issue materials
Carry out additional material control related duties as may be required by the Site Materials Manager, Chief Field Engineer or Resident Site Manager
Maintain up to date material and equipment delivery look ahead schedules and liaise with the planning Engineer and construction field supervision to ensure co - ordination between the site plan and expected delivery dates
Positively maintain relationships with suppliers, clients and other disciplines
Strategic thinker contributing to the management and improvement of the overall project

Min of 10 years experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through to distribution to require site location
Good knowledge of legislative requirements for onshore and offshore materials management
Knowledge and experience in Logistic and materials management, Inventory management, process controls, warehousing and logistics within the oil and gas industry
Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of oil and gas project materials and equipment
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
Ability to identify oil and gas materials and equipment
Planning and organizational skills
Competent in maintaining and updating project reports accordingly
