  • Marks or tag material with proper job numbers, piece marks, and other identifying marks.
  • Care Guides to help employees navigate the complex healthcare system\
  • Follows all setup procedures and work instructions as documented in the Operations System.
  • Interprets engineering shop fabrication drawings, fabrication standards, sketches and other specifications to produce parts or components.
  • Completes work as directed by plant management.
  • Inspect subassemblies and accessories visually and dimensionally to verify these meet the required specifications.
  • Uses/Operates non-computerized equipment or equipment with a low complex controller as well as hand tools and power tools common to the fabrication industry, such as ironworkers, punch presses, saws, manual thermal cutting equipment, etc.
  • Accurately updates all records and visual tracking, whether written or electronic.
  • Cleans and resets the work area at the end of each shift, including but not limited to sweeping the floor, placing items in the proper storage area, stacking pallets, restocking packaging, and dumping trash.
  • Uses tape measures, squares, calipers, micrometers, protractors, rulers, and other measuring tools to set up equipment and complete required quality inspections.
  • Follows all plant safety procedures and uses all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE). Holds other team members accountable for following all safety procedures, environmental control, process control and quality control practices.
  • Reports all machinery issues to Maintenance promptly.
  • Lift or move materials and finished products, manually or with hoists or cranes.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Cross-trains as directed and is willing to work at any production position in the plant, on a as needed basis.
  • Ability to operate assigned task and cross-train in similar jobs or jobs one level up on complexity.
  • 1 year of experience in the operation of production equipment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in operation of hoists, cranes and forklifts.
  • Can Do - Team Player, Open to Change, & Pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Ability to learn production operations.
  • Demonstrates good/excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Exhibits a continuous improvement mindset with ability to verbalize ideas for process and workflow improvements.
  • Ability to use/read common measuring tools in the manufacturing and fabrication industry, do basic mathematical calculations, and use a calculator.
