The role is part of a small CMS team supporting Element's Digital team by maintaining and optimizing a portfolio of websites and digital platforms. Expertise in Optimizely CMS and SEO best practices is essential for managing day-to-day content operations, training stakeholders, and upholding quality standards. The position also provides critical timezone coverage for USA requirements when the EMEAA team is offline.
Key responsibilities include managing daily CMS operations, reviewing and approving content changes, and assisting the Senior SEO Specialist with technical SEO projects. The role involves conducting regular website audits, training marketing teams, monitoring errors and downtime, and handling ad‑hoc tasks for the Global Digital Director and Platforms Manager. Staying current with CMS technology and SEO developments, especially AI and algorithm updates, is also required.
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field and have 2‑3 years of experience in website management, CMS administration, or digital marketing support. Hands‑on experience with Optimizely (Episerver) is highly desirable, with additional experience in other enterprise or headless CMS platforms considered a plus. Proficiency with SEO best practices, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker, and SEO tracking tools such as SEMRush is expected.
The position values action‑orientation, high attention to detail, disciplined process adherence, and pragmatic problem solving. Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, customer focus, effective communication, and multitasking abilities are essential. Technical expertise with CMS platforms, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts for non‑technical audiences are also important, along with a working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and a self‑motivated remote work style.
