Work closely with other elements of the design team to ensure effective collaboration on multi-disciplinary projects.
Drive a Safety by Design approach at all times.
To arrange training and look to upskill the team to continue to deliver projects to programme.
Maintain compliance of CDM regulations and all other legal and regulatory requirements associated with the nature of designs output by the team
Ensure the timely delivery and quality of geotechnical and foundation design, by both internal BB and supply chain partners.
Support colleagues in managing the output and delivery of suitable design drawings.
To oversee the design and co-ordination of geotechnical information, assessments and designs required on the Skye project
Lead ground risk assessments, tower capacity assessment, site design and enablement, slope stability assessments and specification / management of geotechnical works
Lead the discussion with client and supplier technical teams to establish and maintain sound geotechnical practice and principles across the project scope.
Support the DDL, EM and Resource Managers to produce resource profiles to assist with better resource forecast and team capacity to deliver projects efficiently.
Responsible for the safety, commercial and performance of the team. This includes reporting on KPIs across this areas.
Undertake technical quality assurance reviews and provide design approval as required / permitted by the Chief Engineer.

Experience of the supervision of sub-consultants or subcontractors
Working knowledge of BIM360Docs and Autodesk Software
Adjusting to site conditions and enabling ongoing construction works to be performed with least impact.
Able to contribute to the generation of value engineered solutions and design delivery solutions.
Strong, proven post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry
IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CAD)
Strong, proven experience of the management of design of civil or geotechnical engineering works
Degree level education or equivalent with formal training in civil engineering and/or geotechnical engineering.
Understand and be able to capture Client requirements, including those not explicitly stated within the contract.
Expertise in the use of Tekla Tedds, Infraworks, LimitState Geo, Slide 7.0 etc.
Extensive experience of geotechnical design including numerical analysis and finite element modelling
Chartered Engineer preferred with either the ICE or IStructE
Proven experience of the design of civil engineering works
