Under the guidance of other engineers, support the system design concept, equipment sizing, equipment selection, system controls, and the finalized design for industrial buildings and administration buildings including: offices, server/computer rooms, warehouses, F type industrial, H type industrial, and Class I, Division 1 & 2.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Under the guidance of other engineers, prepare production drawings and specifications for building-related lighting, power, HVAC, and plumbing systems that will be used in deliverable packages sent to sub-contractors for bidding.
Assist with technical bid analysis reviews.
Become familiar with building codes and standards for the design of building MEP systems.
Verify HVAC and plumbing installation/construction compliance with engineering specifications and plan requirements, and coordinate shop drawings and other equipment submittals during construction administration.
Check and navigate 3D models for review of interferences and constructability during design and construction administration.
Develop familiarity with departmental design standards, applicable codes, policies, guidelines, and standards.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Familiar with building MEP systems design software such as Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP is a plus
Close to moderate supervision by a more experienced architect and/or engineer.
Familiar with Revit and AutoCAD
Good written and verbal communication skills.
GPA above 3.0 preferred

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Self-starter that can integrate with various engineering design disciplines.
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical or MEP focus)
Comfortable with the use of basic spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs
Have a basic understanding of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
