To maintain a working relationship with their local EA officers.
To undertake site inspections and audits in accordance with Business needs (including maintaining ISO 14001 Accreditation) and regulatory requirements (including EPR (Waste and Installations), Exemptions, Duty of Care, etc.)
Provision of specialist environmental technical expertise to their defined business area.
To collate all regulatory site specific data for submission to the Environment Agency within the required timeframes.

A good knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation and environmental permitting requirements.
Good knowledge and understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment practices, techniques, policies and operational activities.
Degree / diploma in an appropriate subject
Knowledge, experience and skills in conducting inspections & audits. High levels of influencing skills.
Currently hold or able to obtain the CIWM professionally acknowledged WAMITAB NVQ level 4 qualification and maintain continued competence through biennial external examinations.
Good time management and organisational skills – able to work to deadlines and achieve objectives
Valid driving licence
Familiarity of different UU site permits and ability to interpret their specific requirements
Have an in depth knowledge of site specific waste and installation permits in the role holders defined area and ensure all requirements are being met.
