Develop positive relationships with landowners, consultants and site introduction agents to maintain existing opportunities and seek new opportunities through network of contacts
Develop and maintain a healthy and safe work environment and demonstrate a strong knowledge in health and safety; including obtaining relevant health and safety documents and protocols from subconsultants
Instruct and manage external EIA, feasibility and environmental consultants to investigate and report on key consenting issues and constraints
Review and report on site constraints and attributes in terms of planning and environmental designations, using the outputs of the in-house GIS team and other online and desktop sources to determine the feasibility of land for renewable energy developments
Working alongside the Estates and Project Directors to help manage contact with potential new landowners and assist with ongoing contact with the appointed land agents and legal advisors for all onshore property agreements
Ensure a good handover to the development project manager once the site has completed the prospection process
Convey a positive image of the company and represent Boralex in accordance with its values
Implement the site finding strategy to grow and maintain the pipeline of future UK projects
Identifying and assessing relevant planning policy applicable to renewable energy projects
Assist with identifying required property agreements for a project, such as Option & Lease, Access, Wayleave, Easement and HMP agreements (further referred to as ‘the agreements’)
Drafting tender submissions and powerpoint presentations
Maintain an awareness of key consenting and environmental issues, for example by reviewing relevant appeal decisions and attending online events and conferences
Provide consenting/planning strategy advice to the Origination and Development teams
Identify and advance new sites which balance risk, quality and cost commensurate with the needs of the project and within the internal parameters set
