  • Assist in creating requirements and following the Enablement Investment Management process. Own the sub-processes for problem definition, requirements definition and assist in business case development for a business unit.
  • Support project managers, business and staff on engagements as needed to ensure effective and efficient use of resources and delivery of business value.
  • Work with Directors & Managers within Enablement to ensure the business/system plans are reflected in the annual business planning process.
  • Cooperate with other areas of BIT in the application of standards, methodologies, and architectures.
  • Act as a cooperative partner with Business unit staff and provide IT thought leadership in a useful, non-bureaucratic fashion.
  • Advise the assigned Business Units of the feasibility of specific, business-initiated projects which involve IT.
  • Align IT to business strategies and requirements.
  • Work with other AM’s to leverage cross business synergies and understanding and communicates interdependencies.
  • Provide guidance to assigned Business Unit management on IT related education requirements for the Business Unit teams.
  • Act as a staff advisor and consultant to the business groups with advice, counsel and representation in technology opportunities, trends, planning and delivery of services. The AM owns the business unit relationship with key business partners.
  • Participate in continuous learning related to technology trends and directions and opportunities.
  • Work with clients to help determine service level requirements.
  • Co-ordinate stakeholders to create consensus on requirements which will be translated into business applications. Facilitate documentation of these requirements.
  • Aid in successful and timely project delivery.
  • Advise the Management on opportunities for IT leverage between and within business-initiated projects and with existing architecture and infrastructure
  • Provide an interface to IT: translating business needs into technical solution requirements
  • Clarify for and provide advice to stakeholders, alternative paths for improving business return and business case associated with these actions.
  • Support the business in planning activities focusing on the integration of system and technology plans with the goals, objectives, budgets and strategies of the business. In essence, focuses on how the business will evolve through employing technology to achieve this vision. Assist with business unit prioritization of investments.
