Quantity Surveyor

Description

• Proactive management of project and programme risk including ensuring that mitigation plans are in place and implemented.
• Travel to and work in the client’s office(s) in North West England.
• Work on the pre-contract tender process including tender assessment and queries and advise on the contract award recommendation report.
• Delivered post-contract projects including the commercial management from contract award to final account, e.g. budget and price control, forecast to complete, payment assessments and compensation events.
• Development of strong client relationships across its organisation.
• Ensuring robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope and make allowance for all risks.
• Ensuring robust budget and cost management is always undertaken, taking a proactive approach, providing solutions with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Administering contracts via CEMAR.
• Contracts are properly managed and administered in accordance with contract requirements including compliance with all responses to communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions etc.
• Make well reasoned, sound and timely decisions based on the needs of the situation, the clients and the team members.
• Supporting internal business development initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience of a contract management software, such as CEMAR.
• Ownership of accurate commercial reporting.
• Pre-contract tendering experience on the NEC3 or 4 ECC.
• Demonstrable understanding and practical application of the NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C or E.
• Have NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C or E extensive experience for project delivery, administration and management.
• A knowledge and expertise in the water/wastewater industry sector including the Water Industry Act 1991 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 section 84.
• Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or working towards their APC.
