The Engineer II will develop foundational skills in a specialized practice area, applying standard techniques and procedures to assigned tasks. Work involves limited judgment and the use of standard methods for conventional tasks.
Core duties include performing basic design or review tasks, supporting permit applications, material testing, drawing production, and CAD work, and working independently while escalating concerns as needed. Additional tasks may be assigned to meet business needs.
The Engineer II position is located in Layton, UT 84041, is a full‑time day shift role within the Engineering category, and requires a four‑year degree. Travel may be up to 30 % and the job is classified as engineering work.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC‑accredited program and have at least one year of relevant experience. Desired skills include proficiency with electronic communication, basic oral and written communication, teamwork, and the ability to use Microsoft Office. Preferred experience includes CAD drawing production and holding an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
