The Assistant Site Leader supports the Facility Manager by identifying service needs, coordinating first‑shift employees and subcontractors, and performing on‑site service. This first‑shift maintenance lead also trains, motivates, and troubleshoots complex issues for the team. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills to proactively resolve issues and achieve high‑quality results. Additional duties include budgeting support, tracking repairs by BOMA categories, and maintaining comprehensive facility maintenance records.
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Site Leader to work a steady 40‑hour week, Monday through Friday, with overtime options. The role involves delivering efficient service to multiple campus buildings, fostering strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include using our Centralized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to assign, accept, and track work orders and complete client financial reporting.
Candidates must have a high school diploma; skilled certifications or a degree are a plus, along with a valid U.S. driver’s license. Five to seven years of progressive experience in MEP and CMMS, managing maintenance, operations, or construction services, is required. Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential for interpreting safety documents, drafting reports, and presenting to diverse audiences.
The role demands deep technical knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to prioritize, assign, track, and trend equipment history. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with computerized maintenance management systems, building automation, and vendor coordination are required. Strong customer‑focused relationships and clear, audience‑appropriate communication are critical. Candidates must also be able to analyze issues, develop resource‑optimizing solutions, and maintain detailed maintenance records.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package as part of a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure. EMCOR Group is an equal‑opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
