Lead change control impacting plant engineering deliverables & activities,
Lead the design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints,
Interface with other disciplines
Define and/or control plant engineering planning for the project ensuring on-time delivery,
Answer to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to plant engineering,
Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room, Earthing Layout, DSLP Layout, Trench Layout etc
Convert project contractual documents into plant engineering requirements,
Evaluation of vendor Drawings, GTP, Calculation & Technical Specs
Release plant engineering deliverables as per project planning & cost without non-conformity,
Co-ordination of site & office team for execution of project
ITO (tender) drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options.
Lead the plant engineers for the assigned project(s) (functional reports)
Ensure proper implementation of plant engineering process
Organize and perform projects design/gate reviews related to plant engineering & support other disciplines’ ones when required.
Support plant engineering planning and cost estimation for the project

Safety & Compliance: Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, with a focus on delivering designs that meet industry-specific standards.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in EHV/ HV Substation engineering.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of electrical system design, material selection, and quantity estimation tailored for oil and gas projects.
Co-ordination and integration with Automation, Civil & MEP.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients.
Working experience with 3D Design Tools (Revit, ACC, Naviswork).
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide leadership throughout the design and implementation phases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical requirements and business needs.
Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP) type
Good Communication skills & capability to lead project independently along with Client handling.
Good understanding of power system components (transformers, switchgear, protection systems) and renewable energy integration.
HVDC/FACTS integrated project applications.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowhow of IEEE / IEC codes, safety in design/EHS aspects, AC substation industry engineering practices.
Competency on specialized tools like CDGES or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, from an accredited college or university.
Earthing design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Battery Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus- bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC.
Flexible and quick to learn global developments in renewable technologies and adopt.
Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions that are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
