Involved in development & implementation of menus for Assisted Living and Independent Living
Make recommendations for menu or recipe changes when needed to prevent foods from spoiling
Assist in training new personnel
Responsible for food production including maintaining recipe files, scaling recipes to meet production needs, adjusting recipes as needed prior to the next scheduled production
Inspect foods and meats in storage, checking equipment in cooking areas often to assure safety and sanitation standards
Responsible for overseeing department sanitation and ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of cleaning schedule
Complete production sheets, monitor left-over food, adjusting production to minimize left-over food items, ensure documentation of food and equipment temperatures
Ensures opening and closing of culinary operations throughout our venues
Plans cooking schedule so that the finished product reaches the consumer at peak quality

High School or GED equivalent, additionally, classes and/or graduate of Culinary Arts Program preferred

3+ year's culinary experience in a hospitality or dining service establishment
